Cold Plunge Set up Instructions

Follow these steps to get your cold plunge set up

1. Find clean, flat space that is within distance of a working hose to fill up.
2. Set up the cold plunge ensuring all hardware on the outside of the apparatus are in the right places. The structure should hold the cold plunge up without any water in there.

3. Check to make sure that the release valves are both closed. If they are parallel to the outlet, then they are set to open. They should be horizontal to the outlet (to be set in the closed position).
4. Fill up the inflatable top rings using the pump (as needed) or manually blow (if no pump).
5. Use your hands to flatten out the bottom of the cold plunge so that there are no wrinkles.
6. Put hose in and turn on. Fill the cold plunge half way
7. Add ice! It is recommended to add 20-50 lbs per cold plunge unit depending on how cold you want them. If you have thermometer, the suggested range is between 45-55 degrees Fahrenheit. Pros go colder, but no need to be the hero for first timers or amateur plungers.
8.The ice will melt. You can always add more ice as the day goes on as needed.
To use, hop in, and the suggested plunge time is 3-5 minutes depending your tolerance. Set a timer to make it easy, and concentrate on controlling your breathing. Enjoy!
When finished, open the release valves and let the water drain out.

Common Questions

How to start sauna?
How long to sauna?

We recommend sessions of 15 minutes each. Use the sand timer on the wall for a 15 minute session.
We would recommend 2-3 rounds if you're properly hydrated, but any more sessions than that, and you'll be parched!

Can I use water on stones?

Yes, the sauna will heat up and be dry and when you'd like to add some humidity, using the ladle, pour a small scoop of water from the water bucket on to the hot stones inside the sauna. The etiquette is to ask others in there if they are okay with some steam before you add water to the stones.

Is sauna safe for everyone?

Yes, but if you got dizzy while being in there, it is advised that you exit the sauna immediately. Consult your doctor if you have health concerns before use.

What do I need in the sauna?

Bring a towel to sit on and a hat if you'd like to cover your head. This can prevent your hair from getting too hot.

What else?

Drink lots of water before and after. Hydration is key.
